Hey Austin and Nicole,

Just a quick note to say that my wife Michelle loved the puppy! We’ve named him Oliver, after Oliver Hardy (from the comedy team of Laurel and Hardy) because he’s a little chubby, has the moustache like him, and when he looks up at you with that one blue eye and one brown eye, it’s like he’s saying “this is another fine mess you’ve gotten me into!” Happy New Year! Our New Year will be a little more lively with Oliver!  Bill Egan

Hi Austin and Nicole,

Thank you so much for Oliver, we love him!  He's so smart, he already responds to his name, and can "come", "sit", "lie down" and we're working on "stay" next. Michelle Egan

Please read following account of one special puppy's story of finding the perfect home. We rescued "Peanut" and were thrilled we could find her a home even if it was in Wyoming! Thanks to Pro-Pet Transport for their help in shipping Peanut safely to her new family...

.....Well, let me tell you about Peanut or as we call her now Daisy. When they first opened the little carrying case that they had her in, I fell in love instantly. Granted she was scared - a lot had happened in the last three days but I don't think any other puppy could have made me feel the way I did that day. I guess I first should mention how longI had been looking for a puppy just like Peanut/Daisy. Everyday for the past 8 months I had been grooming the Internet looking for a deaf puppy. A deaf one because I work with deaf children so I know sign language and understand aspects of Deaf Culture. I am also a dog lover so when I first learn about the hundreds of deaf dogs and puppies that are put down just because very few what to deal with their deafness, I knew what I wanted to do. I preferably wanted a puppy that was a stock dog of some kind because I had been raised with stock dogs and was more comfortable with their temperament. I searched and searched. I got several leads but it always seemed the puppy had been adopted by the time I contacted the people. One day I am looking one more time and I see a picture surrounded by a bunch of border collies looking dogs on a deaf dog web site and she didn't look like any border collie that I had seen before. I click to read her bio and it turns out she is part Australian Kelpie, what a coincidence but my other dog is part Kelpie as well. Well to make the story short in not too long a time, with a few problems with shipping, I received Peanut into my home. I couldn't and still can't believe how fast she picks up on the signs. She just turned 4 months the other day and already knows sit, lay, come, shake, and of course mommy's favorite "kiss". At first my older dog was not too thrilled that she was not queen of the castle any more, and gave mom and dad a run for their money by refusing to eat or interact with us for a few days. Then one day I looked into the yard and caught her playing with the puppy. The whole facade was over after that and Daisy and my older dog, Alba are now inseparable. Peanut/Daisy is so intelligent and loving, I am continually impressed by what she is able to do. I know she will only continue to impress me as she mates into an adult dog. All of my wait until I found the perfect deaf dog for me was worth it. This puppy was perfect and I am so happy that I could give her a loving home.

Thank you, Nicole.

Sincerely, Jimmie

....Well we're fine and so is Daisy. Daisy is a very good puppy. She's really friendly and obedient. And she takes care of us. Once we were playing with her and the pool guy came and she started to bark and circle him. Then we introduced her to him and she started playing with him. And another time we were at the vet and Taylor was crawling around and she started herding him because that's what she was bread for.

We are having a lot of fun with her and she's very healthy. The Tejada family
